NATURE GIRL

An outdoor event for LGBTQIA folks and their friends.

$50 includes bird watching led by Rob Truglia and a delicious seasonal brunch.

I believe the New York Post once said "Millennials aren't getting married. They are birding." Although this event isn't about generational trends, we are subscribed to getting high and look at birds.

Truglia spent last summer leading bird walks with the Meat Rack Bird Club in Fire Island Pines, and is an avid urban birder. Whereas Andreas Joshua of The Aphrodisiac Kitchen hasn't looked through a pair of binoculars since his Little Mermaid viewfinder. This event is meant for both the novice birder and that one friend who says "did you hear that? It's an Eastern Bluebird."

Wake up early, wear something comfortable, and join us at at Greenwood Cemetery, a stop-over habitat for over 185 species of migrating birds annually. In April, the grounds feature migrating songbirds, nesting Monk Parakeets, and early spring arrivals like Pine Warblers and woodpeckers. If you have binoculars, bring them! If not, we will have a few pairs for the group to share. Brunch will be served at 10:30 am -- with local and seasonal produce. The meet up location will be sent the night before.

If you cannot pay the $50 ticket, as always I offer a pay-what-you-can-ticket option. Please DM me. Tickets are limited.
